They told me that it would be $1700 to fix my car. That my battery was bad and my starter was shot. Both were under warranty with my regular mechanic. I paid them $80 to change a fuse and sent it to my regular mechanic. Cliff's Auto Repair in West Jordan. He found nothing else wrong and charged me nothing to check out my car.
Thank you for your review Ms. Steenbergh! We love working with Cliff's Auto and we always make any of the vehicles he sends to us, jump through every single hoop. This is what makes our relationship with Cliff's Auto so amazing. In regards to your vehicle, the battery did fail the load test, this means it has low amps and low voltage. Something had to be doing this to the battery. Our technician checked your starter circuit and found the maxi fuse to be blown. Something had to do this to the fuse, fuses will never just fail. The technician then tested how many amps the starter was drawing from the battery, he found the amps the starter was drawing to be excessive for the actual need. The starter drawing this high of amps blew the fuse, and is slowly draining your battery. That is why we recommended the work we did, to give you the most reliable finished product possible. We are glad that your car has been starting well so far.
